The following 4 songs were written by my mother, Nina Belle Mathews. She wrote a lot of music during her lifetime and these 4 songs were done as demos to send to various artists in hopes of getting them recorded but nothing ever came of it. Mom and Dad hired some local Amarillo artists and we went to some home studio I believe in East Amarillo and cut these songs. The tapes were then sent to Rhodes Recording Services in Dallas where they were pressed into 45 records. I remember the singer was a really nice fella. I suppose he sang with some band out of Amarillo and am sorry to say I don't even know his name...but I thought he did a real good job on them. This was back around 1964 so I was in the 9th or 10th grade. All I had was a cassette recording that was several generations away from the master. Peggy (my wife) did find the original 45 record that had Lucky Day and No Happiness on the flip....but it was very scratched so I just used the cassette.
